Once Upon a Time

Getting started on a great story can be as easy as dealing a hand from a deck of cards. Activities in seven categories help students with genre, character, setting, action, feeling, object, and the important “how-to” of putting it all together.  The introduction to these cards explains how to use them to develop ideas, practice different elements of a story, map out a plot, and much more. Also included are literature selections that provide good examples of story elements.
