For the past twenty-five years, we have provided teachers and parents with high-quality products, resources, and programs for their classrooms and homes. Our print and on-line catalogs are divided into two sections, CLP Titles and Mentors-in-Print.
CLP Titles
In the CLP Titles section, we offer a variety of manuals and activity books for teachers working with gifted children. We are especially proud to be the publisher of choice for Dr. Joseph Renzulli, the renowned educator who is currently the Director of the National Research Center on the Gifted and Talented. Dr. Renzulli's books have had a world-wide impact on how students' gifts and talents are identified and nurtured. His most recent title with us is The Multiple Menu Model: A Practical Guide for Developing Differentiated Curriculum which he co-authored with Drs. Jann Leppien and Thomas Hays. The Schoolwide Enrichment Model, which he co-authored with Dr. Sally Reis, continues to be one of our best sellers with elementary and middle schools. We also carry numerous activity books, forms, management plans, and assessment instruments that are designed to help teachers and administrators implement Dr. Renzulli's ideas.
We are also excited about the success of Work Left Undone: Choices and Compromises of Talented Females by Dr. Sally Reis. We believe that this title is a must-read for anyone working or in contact with talented girls and women. Not only does it provide insight into the struggles girls and women face as they attempt to develop their talents, but it presents ideas and resources for encouraging talent development.
Mentors-in-Print
One of the best ways to help children overcome boredom in school and the "copying-out-of-the-encyclopedia" approach to assignments is to encourage high-end learning and first-hand inquiry. By "high-end learning" we mean learning that helps children to develop critical and creative thinking skills, and by "first-hand inquiry" we mean that children learn by doing and investigating, not just by reading facts out of a book. We have searched through thousands of titles to find the best-of-the-best in "mentors-in-print," books that go beyond the basics and include clear and engaging text, hands-on activities, and extension ideas to guide young explorers and investigators through a topic. Our Mentors-in-Print section presents a bevy of exciting, hands-on, how-to books for children at all grade levels that prod youngsters to make, do, question, tinker, and delve deeper. We hope you find these books as fun, intriguing, and engaging as we do.
We stand behind the quality and integrity of all our educational materials. We see ourselves as partners in the effort to create a better future for all of our children. We hope you will share our enthusiasm for the materials we offer and that you will see what a strong influence you can have in the development of children's gifts and talents. Please feel free to contact us with any suggestions or feedback.
